The ESD Association recognizes Brent Beamer

Sanford, North Carolina At the 25th EOS/ESD Symposium held at the Riviera Hotel in Las Vegas September 22-25, Brent Beamer (pictured right) was presented with the Joel P. Weidendorf Memorial Award. This prized award is presented in recognition of significant contributions, service, leadership and achievement in the field of EOS/ESD Standards Development. The award was presented to Brent by Ron Gibson, Chairman of the Standards Development organization (left), at the 25th anniversary GALA, attended by 400 people gathered from around the world.
Brent's contributions to the ESD Association span many years, as a Standards Committee member, Chairman of the Packaging Working Group that delivered the ANSI/ESD S 541 Industry Packaging Standard and participation in other working groups developing worldwide ESD standards for industry. Brent Beamer joins a very select group of award recipients, Ed Weggeland, also of Static Control Components, Keith Davies from the UK ands Steve Gerken from the USAF. Michael Swartz, President of Static Control Components' ESD Products Division, encourages his managers to be active in all activities that lead to a better overall understanding of the problems and solutions to EOS, ESD and contamination for it's customers. SCC managers also participate in standard development work within SEMI, IEST, JEDEC and IDEMA.
