SCC Product Compliance to RoHS Restriction of the use Of certain Hazardous Substances
SCC is committed to compliance with the European Union Directive (2002/96/EC) regarding the restriction of Hazardous Substances. In an effort to keep materials of concern out of the environment, this Directive will restrict the use of lead (Pb), mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium and two flame retardants: PBB (polybrominated biphenyls) and PBDE (polybrominated diphenyl ethers), in electrical and electronic products, by July 1, 2006.
SCC bags are RoHS compliant. SCC bags have been tested for these restricted materials. The test results show that SCC bags do not contain any of the restricted materials. This independent testing data is available to SCC customers upon request.
SCC products including bags, wrist straps, heel grounders, labels, mats, grounding cords, humidity indicator cards and other terms, are in compliance with Directive 2002/96/EC because the products are outside the scope of the document. The Directive applies to electrical and electronic products.
