IPC recognizes Brent Beamer P/N: IPC presented Brent Beamer with the Distinguished Committee Service Award at APEX in Anaheim, California on February 10, 2006. The award was presented for Mr. Beamer's contributions to the development of IPC/JEDEC J-STD-033B, Handling, Packing, Shipping and Use of Moisture/Reflow Sensitive Surface Mount Devices. Brent has been a member of the Joint IPC-JEDEC working group for several years, contributing to the development of IPC/JEDEC J-STD-020 and IPC/JEDEC J-STD-033. He is also the Chairman of the ESD Association Packaging Standards Working Group that delivered the ANSI/ESD S 541 international packaging standard. Brent is the Technical Director for SCC's ESD Products Division. Michael Swartz, President of SCC's ESD Products Division, encourages his anagers to be active in all activities that lead to a better overall understanding of the problems and solutions of Packaging, EOS, ESD and contamination for it’s customers. SCC managers also participate in standard development work within SEMI, IEST, JEDEC and IDEMA.
